Perks and Upgrades

In Alpha, players can acquire various perks using in-game currency earned by eliminating enemies, with each one providing distinctive benefits such as increased health, reload speed, damage, points, speed, and a unique ability to retain perks post-demise. Usually, the demise of a player results in the loss of accumulated perks, but acquiring a special one allows the retention of all but this one, which players can repurchase.
Enemies, upon defeat, may drop temporary perks offering various advantages like reducing enemy health to 1, acquiring fixed points, instantaneously eliminating all spawned enemies, and enhancing experience points for each kill. Moreover, players can upgrade any of the 30+ available weapons up to four times, enhancing damage output, reload speed, and ammunition capacity with each.

Cooperative Mechanics

While solo players operate under a limited number of lives, playing in a group unlocks the ability to revive fallen teammates and free them from the in-game respawn location, or “jail,” after they succumb to enemies. Inventory

Through the Alpha series, players have individual inventories for equipment and currency and a shared one for the story objects they gather. In an update, a bank was included that allowed players to store and retrieve money from one game to another and share it with other players.
